Google Trends: The number of search queries with the word "Bitcoin" has tripled

According to Google Trends, the number of search queries with the word "Bitcoin" increased three times after a sharp jump in the price of the first cryptocurrency recorded at the beginning of the week.

According to Google Trends, the largest number of requests made from Nigeria, the Netherlands, South Africa, Austria and Switzerland. In the United States, information about Bitcoin most often sought in California, Washington, Nevada, New York, and Colorado.

Recall that on the morning of April 2, the first cryptocurrency rate showed the strongest growth this year and in just an hour reached $ 5,000. By this time, the cryptocurrency markets were growing for the second day in a row.

Speaking about a possible catalyst for a surge in the price of Bitcoin, analyst Tony Vays said that such a rise does not always have a driving force, that it may just be speculation and that "Bitcoin is no different from any other asset."

At the same time, the general director of the cryptocurrency company BCB Group said that the rise in Bitcoin was due to the purchases of one investor, who simultaneously distributed $ 100 million to three major exchanges.

The last time a significant increase in search queries for the word "Bitcoin" recorded in November last year. Then such an increase in the number of search queries served as a reduction in the price of Bitcoin, which as a result dropped below $ 4,000.
