Telegram began closed testing of the TON network

Telegram-began-closed-testing-of-the-TON-network Telegram began closed testing of the TON network

Today Telegram has provided access to a test version of the TON network to a limited number of professional teams.

It seems that the cryptocurrency community will see the finished version of the TON network in the near future. At least the "Vedomosti" Russian news agency reported this, citing information from two sources.

In essence, teams were able to establish a network node. The leaders of two companies that reported this news to the information portal noted that it was premature to talk about any results at the moment.

"The first results show an extremely high transaction rate," Vedomosti quoted one of the sources. "So far, the blockchain code is only being tested, so specific speed indicators are silent".

They did not provide more detailed information. Another interviewee said that "with the help of testing, we will be able to figure out the network bandwidth."

Alexander Filatov, Managing Director of TON.labs, who is responsible for creating tools for developers, did not give any comments.

Note that the first information about the early launch of the TON test network appeared in early February. Then the project readiness was estimated at 90%. The TON virtual machine was 95% ready, but work was actively carried out on "basic smart contracts and their samples," whose readiness was estimated at 20%. The developers in the provided documents reported that at the moment, priority is given to launching a test network with the support of the simplest smart contracts.

In the same month, information was leaked to the network, which indicates that agreements on the purchase of TON Gram's own network tokens can be canceled if the project is not launched before October 31 of the current year.
