Mike McGlone is a senior commodity strategist for Bloomberg Intelligence, a distinctive research platform offering insights into industries, companies, and government policy, accessible via the Bloomberg Professional service at BI <GO>. McGlone specializes in analyzing the broad investible commodity and cryptocurrency markets, and he is the author of the monthly Bloomberg Commodity Outlook and Bloomberg Crypto Outlook reports. Having joined Bloomberg in 2016, McGlone brings with him over 25 years of experience in futures and commodity trading and investing, starting his career at the Chicago Board of Trade. Before joining Bloomberg, he served as the head of U.S. research at ETF Securities. Prior to that, McGlone led the commodity business at S&P Indices. His previous roles also include serving as the head of futures research at ABN Amro and holding positions in research, analysis, trading, and sales at Aubrey G. Lanston / IBJ Futures. McGlone holds an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago, as well as bachelor's degrees in science and arts from Illinois State University. He is a CFA Charter holder and has earned the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation.
