Watford FC will add a Bitcoin symbol to players' uniforms

The symbol of Bitcoin will appear on the form of players of the English professional football club Watford. In addition, the team will begin to sell souvenirs for cryptocurrency.

The football club announced on its website that the Bitcoin logo will appear on the players form as part of the club's partnership with the Sportsbet.io betting platform. The team will also start accepting Bitcoin as payment for their souvenirs.

According to the official announcement, adding a logo to the uniform is part of a wider campaign aimed at "raising awareness about BTC and informing the public about the benefits of using cryptocurrencies".

Justin Le Brocque, head of marketing for Sportsbet.io's main sponsor, said the company pays tribute to the cryptocurrency community. 

"The crypto community have been hugely supportive of us since we began, so putting the Bitcoin logo on the sleeve felt like a fun way to give something back while also showing them our support," 

he said.

 In July, it became known that the Miami Dolphins football team would accept payments in LTC, and in June, the Portuguese football club "Benfica" began selling souvenirs for cryptocurrencies.

In addition, at the end of April, "West Ham United" FC launched its own fan token, and "Real Madrid" began using Fantastec blockchain to host content.
