Poll: 18% of young Americans want to invest in Ethereum

American youth invests more often in crypto currency than people of the older generation, said LendEDU student loan officers. According to a survey conducted by LendEDU and OnePoll, a market research company specializing in marketing, Americans between the ages of 18 and 34 are familiar with the concepts of "crypto currency", "ICO" and "market capitalization" much closer than people in older age groups, and therefore much more often invest in them. As a result of a survey of 1000 respondents from the United States, about 32% said they had heard about the airwaves, and 18% added that they plan to purchase it as an investment. 22% said they had heard of Ripple, and almost 15% confirmed their intention to invest in XRP.

However, the results of the survey depend on the age of the respondents. For example, although only 32% of those surveyed heard about the air, about one third of them, aged between 18 and 34, plan to invest in it. Similarly, 25% of young respondents indicated that they intended to invest in XRP, although only 22% had heard of Ripple. On the contrary, only 9% of people aged 55 and older plan to invest in the air, and only 1.3% - in XRP.
The results of the survey on the ICO were not broken down by age. About 25% indicated that they heard about the ICO, and 15% added that they plan to invest in this financial instrument. However, 21% of the participants replied in the affirmative to the question whether ICO is illegal.
Although it is not clear whether the respondents will follow the intentions to invest in crypto-currencies, their favor with digital assets suggests that young investors will most likely use the crypto currency similarly to the gold reserve. Based on this observation, Wall Street strategist Tom Lee predicts that bitokoyn will take at least 5% of the market share of gold in the next 5 years, which will raise the price of 1 BTC to 25,000 dollars.
