Donald Trump’s former adviser is going to create his own cryptocurrency

During a lengthy interview at the Delivering Alpha conference in New York, former adviser to US President Donald Trump Steve Bannon said he owns Bitcoins and reminded him that he was working to create his own cryptocurrency.

"I like Bitcoin. I own Bitcoin," Bannon said at the conference, but he did not specify the amount of cryptocurrency he owns.Enter heading here...

He said, that at the moment, they are working on some tokens, which in the long term can be used by the populist movement at the world level, but for this they must be qualitative.

Also, Bannon touched on the issue of the initial placement of coins (ICO) saying that he considers 90% of the ICO a disaster. In his opinion, the problem is an overabundance of proposals on the market:

"I believe that too many investors succumbed to the mood of the crowd and thus were involved in projects, the analysis of which they did not pay due attention," he explained.

Bannon has already earned the fame of a supporter of cryptocurrency, in particular Bitcoin, which, in his opinion, is a confrontation with the "European establishment".

A month ago, the New York Times already wrote that Bannon meets with potential investors and hedge funds about the initial placement of coins (ICO) by his company Bannon & Company, which will subsequently launch its own cryptocurrency.

Bannon began to show interest in cryptocurrency since 2016, but the general public became aware of this only after he left the White House in August 2017. In March of this year, Bannon said that the technology of blockchain is capable of giving people "true freedom."

"They are the future," Bannon said at the conclusion of his interview.
