At the Cyber Days conference held on Sunday, co-founder of the Tezos blockchain project, which raised a record $ 232 million, Kathleen Breitman said the project is preparing to release tokens: "We plan on releasing the token and going rogue in the next few weeks. We're able to release the token on our own terms. For awhile I felt like I was being 'gaslit,' but then I unburdened myself of the morality of it. Things needed to move forward. It's unfair, but we need to ship the code".
At the moment, the project, which is positioned as an alternative to Ethereum, the network protocol of secure smart contracts, is going through a difficult period of internal disagreements. The conflict erupted in October 2017, when the founders of Tezos, the Kathleen couple and Arthur Brightman, attempted to remove the president of the Tezos Foundation, which was created to manage the funds raised during the ICO, of his partner Johann Gevers and take full control of the project.
According to Guido Shitz-Krummacher, former member of the board of directors of the Tezos Foundation, the accusation of the Breitman spouses against the president of the Swiss Foundation also added fuel to the fire.
The Tezos Foundation monitors all XTZ tools and tokens. In combination with the fact that in the US against the organizers of the project were filed at least six collective suits on charges of violating federal law and fraud, we can say that the project is now in complete disorder.
However, if the founders of the project manage to solve at least some of these issues, the Tezzies tokens will become available within a few weeks.
