This week, the cryptocurrency company Circle said that it noticed a significant surge in interest from institutional investors. According to Jeremy Allaire, general director and co-founder of Circle, despite the fact that in May the cryptocurrency markets were declining, last month the company saw a 30% surge in interest from institutional clients.

Since December 16, 2017, the currency and credit markets have fallen by more than 69%, and the last few months of 2018 the reins of government were certainly among the "bears." However, during this period many companies, such as Coinbase, Bitgo, Circle and others, opened the doors for institutional investors. This week, the company has seen an increased demand from institutional investors.

On October 9, 2018, Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Switzerland will take place for the second time in Geneva, the European fintech hub. The event is dedicated to blockchain and cryptocurrencies uniting blockchain project developers, investors, analysts, financiers, specialists in marketing and legal support of business. The first Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Switzerland was held in February and gathered more than 300 participants. 

Bitcoin is a social phenomenon, whose popularity differs by geographic regions, says Robert Schiller, an American economist, author of popular economic books, and winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics.

"The East Coast is less into it than the West Coast," Shiller said Tuesday in a Bloomberg Television interview with Tom Keene and Guy Johnson. "Silicon Valley is really into it. This to me shows that this is not a rational response to new information." he said.

CEO Goldman Sachs announced the possibility of a future in which Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will squeeze out official money - just like the Fiats once replaced gold and precious metals.
